Hi @Mohit3810
Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.
When your HP laptop displays a "Boot Device Not Found" error, there are several troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve the issue:
Check Boot Order in BIOS:
- Restart the laptop and press F10 multiple times as soon as it starts to enter the BIOS setup.
- Navigate to the boot menu and ensure that the hard drive is set as the first boot device.
- Save changes and exit.
Perform Hard Reset:
- Turn off the laptop and disconnect any external devices.
- Remove the battery (if removable) and unplug the power adapter.
- Press and hold the power button for about 15 seconds.
- Reconnect the battery and power adapter, then turn on the laptop.
Run Hard Drive Diagnostics:
- Access the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics by restarting and pressing Esc or F2 repeatedly until the menu appears.
- Choose "System Diagnostics" and run the "Hard Drive Test" to check for any issues with the drive.
Ensure Hard Drive Connection:
- If you are comfortable with hardware, check if the hard drive is securely connected inside the laptop.
- If the laptop is under warranty or if you’re uncomfortable doing this, it’s best to consult a professional technician.
Reset BIOS Configuration:
- Enter the BIOS by pressing F10 during boot.
- Choose to reset BIOS to default settings under the "Exit" tab and save changes.
Check for System Updates:
- Ensure that your system firmware (BIOS) is updated to the latest version. You may need another computer to download updates from the HP Support website.
If you’ve already tried these and still see the error, let me know the exact message (like “Hard Disk - 3F0”) or if you hear any clicking sounds from the drive. We’ll dig deeper together.
You've got this — and I’ve got your back.
If my response helped, please mark it as an Accepted Solution! ✅ It helps others and spreads support. 💙 Also, tapping "Yes" on "Was this reply helpful?" makes a big difference! Thanks! 😊
Take care, and have an amazing day!
