error: “Boot device not found. 

Please install an operating system on your hard disk. Hard disk (3FO)

F2 System Diagnostics”

 

Recent changes: I was trying to do system recovery. During recovery, I had selected recover without backing up files option and now I am not sure why system is not booting up. Is the recovery drive deleted due to this recovery attempt? It is not clear why system is asking to install operating system. It was supposed to compete the recovery but it is showing error. Please check attached.

I see that your getting error after performing the recovery, I'd recommend you follow the steps from the document HP Notebook PCs - Boot Device Not Found Error or Hard Drive Not Detected.
