You probably just need to repair the boot sector.
First makes sure the drive was not damaged
Tap the ESC key after powering on and press F2 to run diagnostics.
Do not allow any updates or repairs if disk or memory fail, especially a BIOS update.
This document shows a lot of stuff, but skip down to "enter safe mode from outside windows"

Select trouble shoot => advanced => startup repair
