Ssd not showing all of a sudden

Welcome to the HP Support Community.
 

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

If your HP PC is showing “Boot Device Not Found” and the SSD is not showing up, this indicates that there could be a hardware issue.

Please try to run a hard drive test on the Pc and let me know the result to help you better.

 

Hard Drive test:

1) Shut down the computer. 

2) Turn the computer back on again and repeatedly tap on the ESC until a Startup menu appears. 

3) Press F2 once. 

4) Go to Component test. 

5) From the list, run the Hard Drive (extensive) test.
