My computer is turning on but black screen with error message. Saying, "boot device not found", "Please install an operating system on your hard disk", "Hard Disk (3F0)". I've done the test, except my computer does not display " Component Tests" button. Juat says "Memory Test" and " Storage Tests". So I pasaed those two tests but it doesn't help. I believe I need windows on my computer. I had it on there, but I think it needed an update and now the laptop can't handle anything until the windows is updated. What do I do?! I need help please.. asap!!! Thank you

@boogie2162_11-1 Welcome to HP Community!

I understand that you are getting Boot drive not found error.

As you have stated that youo have already perform the component test.

I would suggets you perform the recovery.

1. Shutdown the computer.

2. Turn the computer back on again and repeatedly tap on the ESC until a Startup menu appears.

3. Press F11 once for System Recovery.

4. Choose the Keyboard Layout.

5. Click on Troubleshoot.

6. Go to Recovery Manager and click on System Recovery.

Note : Back-up all your data as System Recovery will delete everything that you had saved or installed on the computer.
