Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I use a hp pavilion dv6. I didn't shut down my system properly and as a result my computer 💻 displays only black screen. In order for me to get the computer to display, I perform hard reset or insert a CD. Sometimes it works. Do I boot the system from a flash drive with windows 8.1
