HP 17.3 inch Laptop PC 17-c0000 (2W0J3AV) Choose a different product
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I just purchased this computer from Best Buy. It came in yesterday. From the time I took it out of the package, it ran slow in the start up of every application or website. I have ran security scans, I have checked for updates that might have been lurking, and I have tried to make sure there were no background apps open. I am not sure what to do at this point. It takes about a minute to load in a website for the first time, and an extended time to load in pages within a website. The actual computer start up takes much longer than it should as well. I am beginning to think it is faulty.

Hello @JHolifield

Welcome.

Please, check this article >> https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c06205027

Also, does your computer have McAfee security product preinstalled (or installed now). If it does, make sure you get rid of it. You can use their dedicated utility.
