Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

As stated in the title, windows is telling me a boot device can’t be found, although this is a new hard drive and it’s been barely used. Prior to this, I was using my laptop when suddenly it froze and I couldn’t  use my cursor. Caps lock key didn’t work either. I force shut down, couldn’t boot back up, tried plugging in a recovery disk, boot to black screen, and now when I hit F9, I can’t even access the boot devices screen, it only gives me a black screen.

@Hsinto

When you say "brand new", do you mean blank?

If not blank, how did you install Windows to it so that you could use it?

I used a windows installation media to create windows, this was a hard drive replacement on my laptop.

So you were booting OK from the new drive and using it? So, how long did it work OK until this problem started?

It’s been about a week and a half since I replaced the HDD, right now I’m running a check disk /r /x from the recovery environment in hopes of potentially fixing the issue.

OK, understand -- but if the CHKDSK finds file system errors, that's not good news for a drive that is not even two weeks old!
