Ever since I turned off battery saver my screen brightness will not go higher than 60%, despite the slider showing it at 100%. If I restart my laptop, it goes all the way to 100% for a few seconds and then will dim back down again. I've tried turning off automatic brightness and change brightness based on content. I've also tried turning off adaptive colour. I've tried updating my driver but it says its up to date. I've also tried changing the battery saver settings, set power mode to best performance and turned off the "lower screen brightness when using battery saver" but nothing has worked.
Is there any fix for this?

Hi @lucie-r00 ,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd like to help!
The behavior you're describing could be a feature of the battery-saver mode on the HP Spectre x360. When the battery saver is enabled, the system typically tries to conserve power by reducing certain performance settings, and one of these settings might be the display brightness.
Many laptops, including the HP Spectre x360, have power management features that automatically adjust settings to maximize battery life when the battery-saver mode is activated. Limiting the display brightness is a common strategy to reduce power consumption since the display is one of the components that consumes a significant amount of power.
If you want to increase the brightness while in battery-saver mode, you may need to adjust the settings manually. Look for a power or battery settings menu in your system settings. There, you should be able to customize power plans and adjust individual settings, including display brightness.
Keep in mind that overriding these settings may impact battery life, as higher brightness levels generally require more power. It's a trade-off between extending battery life and having a brighter display.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

Hi! I've tried those solutions already. The issue is occuring when I have disabled battery saving mode. When battery saver is disabled, the brightness will not go above 60% however my laptop states that it is at 100%.
