If you didn't replace the motherboard, the W10 product key is encrypted in the BIOS.
You can reinstall W10 for free by making a bootable W10 USB installation flash drive with the Media creation tool from the link below:
Download Windows 10 (microsoft.com)
After W10 has completed installing you can install the drivers and available software from your notebook's support page.

Thank you for the prompt reply.
I cannot log into my HP laptop - so I don't have access to any information on it, except through the Recovery mode menu.
I have no other Windows machine - I created a Win 10 install USB stick on my Chromebook but the USB flash drive was not accepted ( I disabled Secure Boot).
Is is possible to buy the install media with a new Win 10 license.

You're very welcome.
The only place I know of where you might be able to purchase recovery media for your notebook would be from this vendor at the link below, but you will need to know the exact model number of your notebook to order it.
