What exactly are you doing when that message appears?

 

Ah. Nevermind. I see that it is a result of the latest Windows 20 update. See the thread at the Microsoft Communities at the link below. 2645 people had the same issue as yourself.

Take a read of the following. You may need to use a recovery utility if your files have indeed been deleted.

I had the same issue, nothing was working for me,

FIANLLY I fixed this issue by holding F11 when my laptop was switching on and then using this to delete and reinstall windows (without wiping any data) ! 

Took about 20 mins to reset after that was working as normal !
