HP Envy x360 15.6 inch 2-in-1 Laptop PC 15-fe0000 (77X86AV)

Hello for the past year I have been getting empty popups. I have ran sfc in command prompt and have gotten the 'Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations'. I only became worried once the popup logged me out (or redirected me) to my home screen.

Additional info*

If it helps solve the problem- Around December 2023 I made the mistake of leaving my laptop on sleep and LOW BATTERY (did not shut it down) for around 4 weeks. For almost the entirety of the next year (2024) my laptop would take forever to boot up and I once even got the blue screen. It would turn on then change into a black screen or it would be 'frozen' on the home screen after I logged in (note* the bottom bar would disappear when it would freeze)

This stopped probably around November or December last year. But this year I have the popup problem. If anyone knows how to fix this annoying popup, please help   <_<

@che77, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Empty Popups on HP Envy x360!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Update Windows and Drivers: Ensure that your Windows operating system and all drivers are up to date. Sometimes updates can resolve underlying issues.

Check for Malware: Run a full antivirus scan to check for malware or viruses which can cause unexpected popups and redirects.

Clean Boot: Perform a clean boot to see if a background application is causing the problem. Instructions for a clean boot can be found on the Microsoft Support website.

Check Event Viewer: Use Event Viewer to look for error messages that correspond with the times you receive these popups. This might give you a clue as to what is causing the issue.

Application and System Logs: Check application logs and system logs to see if any software errors or system issues have been recorded.

Battery Health: Check your battery health to ensure it is functioning correctly after experiencing issues when on low battery and sleep mode. HP provides a battery health check tool, accessible via the HP diagnostics software.

Run HP Hardware Diagnostics: Use HP Support Assistant to run hardware diagnostics. This can help identify if there are any issues with your hardware components.

Reset Windows: If none of the above steps resolve the problem, consider resetting Windows. Make sure to back up all important files before performing a reset.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
