It is absolutely safe to use CCleaner on your laptop -it is my preferred "must-have" freeware utility I use to clean potentially unwanted files and invalid Windows Registry entries from my PCs.
As a sidenote, Regardless of whether you install CCleaner or not on your laptop, it is recommended to use an anti-virus/malware program, such as the (very) low impact Webroot option. Here is a very affordable one-device, one-year Webroot anti-virus protection offer via Amazon costing just $14.99: https://www.amazon.com/Webroot-Antivirus-Protection-Internet-Security/dp/B07DDQGPMZ/ref=sr_1_7_sspa?.... (Forget the "gaming" part: also applicable for non-gaming computers).
Kind Regards,
