Thank you Provost... HP sent me a PM to call them which I did but your information is bang on for my needs ..... they told me min 24 x and max 48 x for this machine and also the person said 4 mp per sec..... not sure but your info looks more like what I am going to need to do the burning of the disk per our other discussion.

lets just say that language was a tad bit of a problem .... sounds like English was definitely a struggle!
Found it quite funny that they sent me a private message on here to call them but no reason given. The guy did not even really understand why I had called! Asked what I wanted and I told him I wanted to know the burn speed for CD on my machine. Gave him the model of the laptop, was put on hold and after several efforts at trying to understand him ended up being given incorrect information.
