Spectre x2
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

I have a Spectre x2 which is getting the error: CMOS checksum invalid. CMOS 502 Error.

I've checked the answered questions here and all seem to depend on the keyboard. My Spectre is the tablet-y kind and has a detachable keyboard.

It doesn't seem that the connection to the keyboard is being made.

Suggestions?

Thanks!

Greetings @skb55,

Thanks for the post and Welcome to HP Forums.

I understand that you are getting a CMOS 502 error on your computer and are unable to use your keyboard, is that right?

Not to worry, I will be glad to assist you.

To resolve the issue you are facing, you would try restoring the BIOS to factory defaults.

But if the keyboard is not working, you will not be able to access it.

Recommend you take the computer to any service center or contact our phone support team to check on the service options available.

Let me know how it goes.
