Error in start up stating CMOS battery is not genuine!

the laptop is only 2 weeks old and never been open!

You should not be having issues like this with a new PC!  So, you need to use the link below to contact HP Customer Support to see about getting your PC serviced or returning it. You will have to open a service ticket and when that is done, you will be provided detail contact information:
