Anytime.

Glad to have been of assistance and it is good to know your notebook is working better with 8 GB of memory.

It's too bad the hard drive is somewhat difficult to get to because replacing the mechanical hard drive with a solid state drive would make such a nice improvement.

To answer your question regarding how much memory your notebook can support...

It will support up to 2 x 8 GB of DDR3L-1600 memory and since the memory you bought worked, you can buy 2 x 8 GB of the memory brand you bought in the future if you want.

Motoeagle DDR3L-1600 SODIMM 16GB Kit (2x8GB) PC3L-12800S 8GB 2Rx8 PC3 12800S DDR3 1600MHz RAM 1.35V/...

That’s great thanks. Would 2x 8gb of RAM improve performance a lot?

You're very welcome.

Run the Windows Resource Monitor app.

Click on the memory tab and see how much free memory your notebook has available.

If you have 5 - 6 GB or more free memory available as indicated by the light blue bar, then you probably don't need to install more memory.

If you have less than 5 GB of free memory available, for the low price of the 16 GB of memory kit, it would probably be worth the investment.

Hi. Thanks again for reply. Laptop has 4.9 GB of free memory now but seems a lot better performance wise so will leave as is for now.

once again thank you so much for your help in this matter.

best regards
