Hallo there,
My hp laptop has i5 cpu and it was running with 60% 5 mins after opening it cause of heat and backround programms. i watched some videos about it and it says to 'set affinity' of some high process programms to run with 1 or 2 or 3 cores. After testing this to my laptop my cpu performance went to 40% and lower indeed, so it worked. Would this harm my laptop in the future?

Hi @warriorito,
Thank you for your query. I grasp that your computer is running slow because of heat and open programs. I will do my best to help you overcome this difficulty. Here is a link to HP PCs - Computer Is Slow (Windows 7) that should help with the performance, Here is a link to assist you with the overheating issue. HP Notebook PCs - Reducing Heat Inside the Laptop to Prevent Overheating. Please let me know if this helped.
