I purchased a laptop for my husband and he has difficulty using the keyboard mouse.  Can I add a regular mouse so he would be able to use the laptop?

Hello;

Allow me to welcome you to the HP forums!

Yes, you can add any of the following mice:

1) Bluetooth mouse

2) Wireless mouse -- will have a USB "dongle" that will plug into a USB port

3) Wired mouse -- will  plug into a USB port

You would have to check the Device Manager in Control Panel for your laptop to see if it has bluetooth installed.

When I get the mouse (will probably go with one with an USB), will I be required to go into the Devices Settings and add the new mouse?   You have been a great help.  I do have bluetooth.
