Hello All:
I had bought new pc with w10, but I am still missing the old pc with wXP.
I tried to delete the IE-8 thoroughly in it, but failed. Now I am asking your help.
First, I uninstall it in the: Control Panel > Change or remove Programs >Internet Explorer 8
Then I found there are still folds/files in the C: /Progream Files/Internet Explorer/Connection
Wizard. They are *.dll and *.exe. After delete them, they will appear again in 5-10 seconds.
It is a very awful work! Could you help me to delete the IE-8 thoroughly.
Thank you! -- Zhao

Hello @Zhao363
There is no way to completely erase/stop Internet Explorer from Windows XP as it is essential part of MS Windows OS.
If your XP originally comes with IE 6 or IE 7
and
If IE 8 was installed later, go to Control Panel > Add or Remove programs, find Internet Explorer 8 and uninstall it
You may stop/hide/uninstall some part of it by going to Control Panel > Add or Remove programs, click on "Add / Remove Windows components". Find and uncheck Internet explorer versions. Apply/OK
You may delete Internet Explorer exe file from C:\Program files\Internet Explorer >> iexplore.exe
It is not recommended that you attempt to delete IE because it is part of Windows and might be needed under some cases.
