Product: HP ENVY x360 15.6 inch 2-in-1 Laptop PC 15-ew0000 (549V8AV)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

I have a HP ENVY x360 15.6 inch 2-in-1 Laptop PC 15-ew0000 (549V8AV) running Windows 11 Home.  Can I buy and Upgrade to windows 11 Professional from HP ?  Or Do I just purchase a copy from Microsoft.

 

Also, assuming I can get an install file from Hp, can you just update my current setup and not have to completely reinstall all of the programs ?

HP does not sell Microsoft operating systems such as W11 Pro.

Using the above method, you don't have to reinstall Windows, programs or files.
