As we know the Spectre series meet the problem that lead to freezing dots during boot up after 1809 upgrade is patched. I met the same problem weeks ago (described in my previous article). Later the upgrade is put off. But now I still don't receive the 1809 upgrade in Windows Update. What I wanna know is whether I can upgrade to 1809 now or not? If not, how long it will take?

The last I read about the 1809 update is that it is delayed until sometime in November bacause of problems encountered. It is a Microsoft problem and not HP.
P.S. I read the other posts from eariler problems. Wait end see what @erico finds out.
I'm not an HP employee.

Windows update version 1809 was and still is paused. A later build was released to Windows Insiders. I have it on my desktop PC, but unfortunately my desltop is an AMD platform.
I am waiting for an M.2 NVMe SSD enclosure to arrive. Once I have it, I will store an image of the SSD in my HP product loan Spectre x360 15t-ch0xx on it. I will then install the update on the notebook to see how the update goes.
The status of the version 1809 update can be followed in the Windows Insider Feedback hub app and at the blog at the link below.

In addition to what others have already told you, the "rumours" in the community Win10 forums is that MS will be re-releasing the 1809 Upgrade tomorrow or Wednesday -- which would put it into November.
But, those are just guesses and no one really knows when it is actually going to be re-released.
Additionally, I would NOT be in a hurry to do the Upgrade. I would give it a week or more to see if any new "problems" arise.
But ... your PC; your choice.

Windows Insider edition preview 18267.1001 is downloading to the Spectre x360 -15t-ch0xx and should be installed within the hour.
The installation is complete.
The first start showed the Realtek audio issue still exists. I opened the HP Support Assistant and tried the one-click audio fix and it worked!
There is no background image at the moment so I have to work on that.
Done. Easy installation of beautiful Norway theme.

Enrico, thank you for your efforts! So you were able to install the newest Insider on a HP spectre x360 15-chxx? Could you give me the information, which BIOS settings you used? Is it a Toshiba SSD?
I'm pretty sure, I tried the newest insider, too. But I will make another run later. Thank you again.

Yes, I patched the upgrade when it came out a little bit earlier and the I met this annoying problem. My hard disk is Toshiba's 1TB SSD. My BOIS settings include safe booting up on, CPU virtualization on, and all the others are all set to be the same as default. I don't usually change BIOS settings and this is the first time I meet a problem that seems to have something to do with the BOIS.
