Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)

If it is installed, it will not work if the C:\ disk is gone. If that happens, warn me. Problem: I want to install it to the D:\ disk because it gives a blue screen during startup and I want to do dualboot.

You have to install the applicable SATA storage controller drivers which is why Windows is bluescreening during the installation process.

I can't help you any further than that unless you provide the full model number or product number of your notebook and the model processor it has.

Then you will have to do some pretty complicated things to install XP.

Then you will have to hope you can find drivers for the hardware if you manage to get XP installed afterward and that is going to be very difficult.

CPU AMD Vision E2 If Windows XP is not installed, can Windows 7 be installed on the D:\ disk without deleting the C:\ disk?

I have zipped up and attached below, the AMD SATA controller drivers that Windows needs to install.

I have also attached the instructions for how to slipstream the drivers into a copy of your XP installation disk.

The instructions are for Intel processors, but they work the same for AMD.

Only the drivers are different.

As far as installing W7 on another partition, I don't see why not, but I don't see the point of having two of the same operating systems installed.

That would be all the assistance I can provide to you regarding this matter.
