HP Pavilion x360 15-bk163dx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I ws trying to wipe the notebook clean as a present for my daughter. I could not provide the bitlocker information, so I treid to format the hdd. When it was done, I found I had deleted the boot and recovery partitions. So now I have a hdd that I can not access. I do not have a clue what the bitlocker password is and I do not recall ever setting one.

How do I open this machine so I can replace the hdd with one that is unformatted so I can install a clean version of Win 10 64 bit?

Hello;

Allow me to welcome you to the HP forums!

I do not know any way to bypass BitLocker -- so I can not help you in that.

But what you CAN do is use something known as HP Recovery Media to do a complete factory reset of your PC.  This will restore it to its original condition.

You can check this link for ordering information:  HP PCs - Obtaining HP Recovery Discs or an HP USB Recovery Drive | HP® Customer Support
