HP ProBook 450 G2 Base Model Notebook PC
Linux

When pressing the ESC key during boot, the laptop stops responding. It doesn't load the Startup Menu, and it doesn't proceed to the OS.

Pressing any of the function keys during boot has the same problem.

Context: I just installed Linux Mint 22 and got a BootDevice Not Found issue. Troubleshooting that involves getting into the BIOS Setup, but I can't because of this problem.

Hi @123n

may be a keyboard issue, try using a USB keyboard and test.

if the screen stays like this you have a problem in the BIOS, I recommend to open the computer and remove the RTC battery and the main laptop battery for 15 seconds and then try again.

Just did that, the CMOS reset prompt did show up, but still can't access the Startup menu/BIOS setup after rebooting.

remove the disk and try entering the BIOS
