I have the black screen of death happening and noted the caps lock was flashing twice. I've seen that it's a BIOS issue so I have tried to create a BIOS recovery flash. I have tried on my husband's laptop (HP) and my work laptop (Lenovo) and each time I download the file I can't run it.
It will download as file sp47531.exe, I run it. The installshiled wizard opens, I click next, accept the terms, choose my location and then I receive the insydeflash error message. So it creates the WinFlash application but it will not open from there. Other error popups are "Cannot open file C:\Users\ehammond\AppData\Local\TempzInsydeFlash.exe" "Cannot open file C:\Users\ehammond\AppData\Local\Temp\icsflash.dll" then "some files could not be extracted"
I am quite distraught, any help would be greatly appreciated - not ready for it to become a brick!!!
