Hi,

I have a problem with creating a pendrive with original recovery. To do this I use HP CLOUD RECOVERY TOOL. I run  this tool with administrator permission of course, but in the next content dialog my HP show some issues with product ID.

My automated product ID is: 9SV61UAR#ABA

Product ID from bottom is: 9SV61UA

Any try to enter the content ending with failure. It looks like HP doesn't have a recovery to this model of laptop, can be it true?

Please help me.

I can only add that I didn't have any problems with other HP laptops. I always use this tool to crate a disk drive with original recovery without any problems. It is my first HP where i can't do that. I tried do this on another computer without a positive result. Anyone have some idea to solve my problem? Thanks

The HP Recovery toll is listed in the Software and drivers section for that model and provides a link.

Assuming that is where the trouble starts, you can use the Microsoft Media Creation tool to get a Windows 10 install media

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

With a working PC, scroll down to the "Using the tool to create installation media"
and then follow the directions. You can make either the DVD or USB.

You can then use this new media to reinstall Windows 10

Thanks for your respond, but your link https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c06162205 doesn't work. I know that i have other option and I can install clear new OS after download Windows 10 from Microsoft site, but it  not a solution for me. I really need original factory system from HP  producent, because I want to compare my laptop with original factory system with the same laptop with "customed OS by user". That's the only good way to properly compare between them.

Sorry the link does not work.  You can go to the support site and find the link directly by inputting you model number at the support site or let it detect your model and then go to the Software, drivers and firmware section.

https://support.hp.com/us-en

If that link does not work for you, go to the top of this forum ( where it lists HP - Explore - Support ) and click on the Support.

Then pick the Software, drivers and firmware section.

Scroll down to the "Software-HP Cloud Recovery"  If you cannot get that to work, then scroll on down to the "Order Recovery Media - CD/DVD/USB" and order the media from HP.  That media will work the same as the cloud recovery.

@Uniqe

If you can't get the HP tool to work, then consider this alternative:

------------------------

I personally prefer to use third-party Backup solutions as they tend to be both more flexible and more reliable than any built-in solutions.

Macrium Reflect (MR) provides a FREE version that can be used to image and restore partitions or entire drives.

What I recommend is the following:
1) Download and install Macrium Reflect (MR) from here: http://www.macrium.com/reflectfree.aspx
2) Run MR and choose the option: "Create an image of the partition(s) required to backup and restore Windows" to write a full backup to an external drive or USB stick
3) Use the option to create a boot USB stick or CD

My experience is that MR, when using the High Compression option, typically can compress the saved image file to about 50% of the USED space in the OS partition. This means if you have an 80GB OS partition, and 40GB is used, MR only needs about 20GB to store the image file.

I use this all the time and it typically takes less than 15 minutes to do the image backup and about the same time or less to do a restore.

Plus, MR has the option to Add a Recovery Boot Menu entry. This allows you then to boot into WinRE, and you can then use that to do a restore -- when you can't boot into Windows!

NOW, you have the means to restore a full working system from the external drive or USB stick in only a few minutes.
