Hi,

I had to redownload windows 10 for this HP Spectre x360 laptop. Now it's missing a lot of drivers, but when i try to locate the drivers on the HP website it just says there aren't any available.

When using support assistant, it also doesnt show any drivers and just tells me the laptop is up to date (which it isnt, the audio isnt working.

Where can i find the drivers for this device? I do understand the laptop isnt the newest, but the drivers must be available somewhere right? T

@Tim480, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your HP Spectre X360 !

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand how frustrating it can be when essential drivers are missing after reinstalling Windows 10. Don’t worry, I’ll guide you through the process to get your HP Spectre x360 back up and running properly.

Manually Check HP Official Drivers Page

Even if the HP website isn’t showing drivers automatically, you can try manually searching for them:

  1. Go to HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads.
  2. Enter your exact laptop model number (e.g., HP Spectre x360 13-XXXX).
  3. Select Windows 10 (64-bit) as your operating system.
  4. If no drivers appear, try selecting Windows 11 (some drivers may still work on Windows 10).

Install Windows Updates

Windows may install some of the missing drivers automatically:

  1. Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and check for updates.
  2. Restart your laptop after updates are installed.

Use Device Manager to Update Drivers

  1. Right-click on the Start Menu and select Device Manager.
  2. Look for any devices with a yellow warning icon (especially under “Sound, video and game controllers”).
  3. Right-click the device > Update Driver > Search automatically for drivers.

Download Drivers from Component Manufacturers

If HP doesn’t list the drivers, you can get them directly from the component manufacturers:

  • Intel Chipset & Graphics: Intel Download Center
  • Realtek Audio: Realtek Drivers
  • Wi-Fi/Bluetooth: [Intel or Realtek, depending on your model]

Use HP Cloud Recovery Tool (If Needed)

If you’re still facing issues, you can restore your laptop to its original factory condition using the HP Cloud Recovery Tool:

  • Download it from the Microsoft Store.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to create a recovery USB drive.

Let me know if you need further assistance!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
