I did a recovery, and when rebooted.....would not accept my pin. (Same one for years). When attempting to reset the pin, I got my security clearances, but got a message "something went wrong....try  again later." I've done it many times...same result.

I 'be tried holding shift while restartung, but the recovery screen does not come up.

@Kmbrett

You failed to provide us ANY information on HOW you did the recovery -- but if you used the built-in factory reset option, that returns the PC to the state it was when it first powered up, and since that was BEFORE you created a PIN.

You need to provide us the details of what specifically you did.

I used the factory loaded reset program.

One additional fact.......the computer noted that the restoration point was 12/27

Thank you

Sorry, but we here can not help you in this because we have no access to your PC in any way.

As I said, the factory reset, which you should NOT have used, returns your PC to the state it was in BEFORE you assigned the PIN, so of course, the PIN will not work.

You would need to take the laptop to a local repair facility to see if they can do anything for you.
