Hi HP Community,
1. This laptop is not recognizing the ssd in the Windows 11 Recovery to select and reinstall Win 11.
2. The ssd is seen and recognized in the bios and the diagnostics tests pass on it.
3. This ssd previously had Bitlocker enabled on it, but key/pin is not available (employee left on bad terms).
4. Was able to delete info via the DOS command diskpart, but still unable to install/overwrite Win 11 from an Install Recovery
DVD (no drive nor partitions seen).
Thank you in advance for your help!

Hi @Pete70x7
The first thing you need to do is download this disk driver.
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp135501-136000/sp135979.exe
Then use win-zip or 7 zip to unzip the file into a folder, then look for the dchu_VMD folder in the folder, copy that folder to the Windows installation USB, which must be created with the Microsoft media creation tool in a FAT32 or GPT partition.
Then put the USB in, turn on the computer and press the F9 key several times, the boot menu appears, you should see the USB if it was created correctly, select it and the installation begins, when you get to the part where you select the disk you won't see any disk, then select install driver, it gives you the path to the dchu_VMD folder on the USB, and the first result you select it and then the disk appears and continue with the installation.
