Hello;

Allow me to welcome you to the HP forums!

Laptops especially contain specialized hardware for which, for full functionality, specialized drivers are required -- and these come ONLY from the OEM, in this case, HP. Your PC came preinstalled with Windows 10. If you remove or overwrite the original Win10 on your PC with Win 7, you are going to encounter serious problems as there are no HP Win7 drivers for the new hardware that comes with new machines.

MS supplies drivers that provide only basic functionality.  This means that some of the hardware functionality is likely NOT to work if you force a downgrade.  That includes functions like the touchpad, WiFi, switchable graphics, USB ports -- to name the functions commonly reported here.

That said, someone else might come along and point you to Win7 drivers for other model PCs that that will work with yours -- but if that does not happen, you will then be stuck with a PC with limited functionality as HP is not writing Win7 drivers for their new Win10 PCs.

-------------------------------------------
If you want full functionality for the machine, you need to retain its original preinstalled OS version.

I'm actually pretty impressed you even got Windows 7 that far. :generic:

An old trick that worked for that ACPI BIOS error when installing XP during the "We hate Vista" years- should work for Windows 7.

  1. Restart the computer to restart Setup.
  2. When Setup starts again, press F7 (not F6) when you see the "Press F6 if you need to install a third-party SCSI or RAID driver" screen.

Windows automatically disables the installation of the ACPI HAL and installs the Standard PC HAL.

If successful you will still be faced with driver problems as mentioned by @WAWood above. We have some pretty sharp folks on here who "may" be able to help. Problem is a lot of manufacturers such as Intel and others have not developed Windows 7 drivers for newer hardware designed for Windows 10.

Hi, @dred3377

If you can get W7 to install, let me know and I will see if I can help you with finding W7 drivers.

There are two major hurdles to overcome...

1. Intel only developed W10 drivers for the graphics, so there is one person that was able to modify a W10 driver to work on W7.

See this discussion...

https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Video-Display-and-Touch/Windows-7-VGA-drivers-Probook-450-G4/...

2. I see from the product specs page for your notebook, that it comes with an  Intel® 802.11b/g/n/ac (2x2) Wi-Fi® and Bluetooth® 4.2 Combo wifi adapter.

If it is the 3168AC wifi adapter, that will not work on W7 to date.  See this extensive discussion regarding that problem...

Good afternoon. Thanks for the reply.Drivers on the equipment I do not need because there are oraz win 7 C drivers installed on modern equipment, I will not face the problem of finding drivers for new equipment, I need to remove the error 0x000000a5 when rebooting the laptop, as there is no further installation of Windows 7. how to remove the lock in the BIOS?then he disabled Legacy Support Enabled and Secure Boot Disabled in BIOS.Conflict with ACPI how to disable it in the BIOS, in the BIOS there is no such setting.

Hi, I realized that there are no drivers for Windows 7, and the manufacturer does not write them, but I just need to install Windows 7 on HHD, and I get an error message, I pressed the F7 button, which did not help there, as in my model. function is disabled or not, I just opened the menu with my recovery disk. Therefore, I can not disable ACPI, the error also does not have a parameter that would disable ACPI, so I understand that this is a BIOS ?
