HP Pavilion 15 Laptop PC 15-eh2000 (4V3L7AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

Hello, I recently bought this Pavilion 15 and did a fresh installation of the latest Windows 11 version 24h2, but cannot find the drivers. I tried to download what I found on the site, listes as compatible only with 22H2, and they only extract in one directory but nothing is installed.

Of course the computer is running with the generic drivers downloaded by Windows update, but I want the official ones. Should I downgrade it?

Thanks.

Hi @Eithern,

There's no need to downgrade your Windows 11 to a previous version. Here are the steps for successfully installing the correct drivers for your HP Pavilion 15.

Steps to Install Drivers:

Check HP’s Official Site for Drivers:

  • Visit the HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads page: HP Software and Driver Downloads.
  • Enter your HP Pavilion 15 product name and follow the instructions to find compatible drivers.

Use Windows Update:

  • Windows Update automatically downloads and installs drivers when updates are available.
  • To check for and install updates:
    • Go to Settings > Windows Update > Check for updates.
    • Install any optional updates that include drivers.

HP Support Assistant:

  • Download HP Support Assistant which is designed to help automatically update and install the drivers for you.
  • You can get it from HP Support Assistant.
  • After installing, run the program to update your drivers.

Manual Update using Device Manager:

  • Open Device Manager.
  • Right-click the device you need a driver for (e.g., Network Adapter, Sound device, etc.).
  • Select Update Driver > Browse my computer for drivers.
  • Navigate to the folder where you extracted the drivers.

I hope this helps.
