I used to exclusively use Google Chrome, but all of the sudden it won’t open anymore. When I try to launch the application, the spinning wheel pops up for a second, then goes away, and then nothing happens. PLEASE HELP

Well, it's  not a "brand of computer" problem - HP has absolutely no interest in your Web Browser.

What else?

Examples...

  • There could be some weird bits of Chrome lurking in your account (down in AppData > Local > Google).
  • There could be an odd bit of Chrome lodged in the Windows Registry.  (I am not recommending a novice attempt to edit the registry.)
  • There could be a sudden move on the part of your Security software to bar Chrome from running on the computer.
  • Some bit of Chrome could be stuck in Settings > Apps > Apps and Features (should not be the case).

I would guess it's the first one just because Web Browser tend to extend themselves into your account - to store settings and the like.  Could have left something behind when you uninstalled the Chrome browser.

What else?

No idea - I've got Chrome installed but honestly, I no longer use it and the installation is not configured.

IF you want to do so, try the Chromium Edge - it is based on what you have known in the past.
