Hello,

I have an HP 255 G8 7J034AA.

For few years I using Linux, but now I would go back to Windows 11. When i run the installer, windows ask for a driver.

I downloaded all drivers for my Device and extract them to the SWSetup folder. Paste the folder to an USB Stick, but windows setup can’t see the drivers. (Not compatible maybe).

I think I have the wrong intel driver… But which is the correct driver?

best regards

Lars

Great to see you here in the HP Support Community!

I understand how disheartening it can feel when you’re all set to bring your HP 255 G8 back to life with Windows 11, only to see the installer stop midway asking for a missing driver. It can feel like you’re stuck staring at a silent screen when everything should be moving forward. Don’t worry — we’ll walk through this step by step and get your system running smoothly again.

Let’s make sure you have the right driver so Windows can finally “see” your hard drive and bring your system back to life.
