Hi:

HP retired support for your notebook since it is more than 10 years old.

This reputable 3rd party website has the last BIOS update HP released for your notebook, which was F.67.

HP Compaq Presario CQ40-606TU BIOS (driverscollection.com)

However, since you indicated that you are running W10 32 bit on your notebook, I don't know what will happen if you try and run the BIOS update which was designed to run on Windows Vista or Windows 7, on Windows 10.

Update the BIOS in W10 at your own risk.

It is not unusual for 2.5 GB - 3.0 GB of usable memory to be available in such an old notebook using a 32-bit operating system, so updating the BIOS may not make any difference.
