Hi:

Yes, the 15-da0xxx model notebooks that have an Intel core processor have a M.2 slot that supports NVMe SSD's and SATA SSD's as well.

See chapter 1 of the service manual:

Thanks very much. I have one more doubt.

Can I install Samsung M.2 990 Pro SSD in Hp 15-da0447tx

Which size is more suitable 512 GB or 1TB

You're very welcome.

Since your notebook's M.2 slot is only PCIe Gen 3.0, the Samsung 990 Pro will not run anywhere near its advertised max read/write speeds, but it should work fine.

You may want to consider the Samsung 980 PCIe 3.0 SSD instead, unless you plan on transferring the drive to a newer model notebook with a M.2 PCIe 4.0 x 4 slot it the future.

One other bit of disappointing info so that you are not surprised...

Unfortunately, the M.2 SSD slot is only PCIe 3.0 x2 and not x4.

This means that a drive with a maximum advertised read/write speed is only going to run at about half that speed.

For example, the maximum read speed of the Samsung 980 is 3,500 MBPS, which means that it will not run any faster than 1,750 MBPS.

So, get the fastest drive you can for the money.

The good news is that even at 1,750 MBPS a NVMe SSD is still around 3 x faster than a SATA SSD would be.
