Yes, 2.5" is the size of your 1 TB mechanical hard drive. Your service manual (page 2) indicates that your model supports 2.5" SATA hard drive in 9.5-mm (.37-in) and 7.2-mm (.28-in) thicknesses.

If you are looking for a replacement of your current HDD, you can install a 2.5" SATA SSD drive, which provides a significant performance gain. What you need is a 2.5" SATA3 (6 GB/s) SSD drive.
