Hi @Marquis5,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I’m sorry you’re going through this; I understand the concern and don’t worry I’ll help you with this.

For better clarity, can you please confirm the points mentioned below

Do you hear the Chromebook’s fan or startup sound when you press the power button?

Do any lights (like the power indicator or charging LED) come on?

Did this issue start suddenly, or has the screen been flickering/acting up before?

Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try right away:

  • Check the power source: Make sure the charger is connected properly and the charging light is on. Try a different outlet or charger if possible.
  • Hard reset: Hold down the Power button for about 10 seconds, then release and press it again.
  • External display test: If you have access to a monitor or TV, connect your Chromebook with HDMI. If the external display works, the issue may be with the built-in screen.
  • Battery check: If the battery is completely drained, leave it charging for at least 30 minutes before trying again.

If none of these steps help, it could point to a hardware issue (like the display or motherboard), but let’s first confirm the basics.

Do you notice any signs of lights, sounds, or even a faint glow on the screen  when you turn it on?

I hope this helps.

I'm glad I could help! 😊 If this resolved your issue, please mark it as "Accepted Solution" and click "Yes" on "Was this reply helpful?" Your feedback not only keeps us going but also helps others find the solution faster!
