Since Windows 11 requires Secure Boot, I want to know if my PC meets System Requirements for possible future upgrade. I followed HP's instructions here https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c04784866 but after disabling Legacy Support in step 5, step 6 does not allow me to select Secure Boot with down arrow. The down arrow skips over Secure Boot which is <Disabled> in black and drops to the next line in blue which is "Clear All Secure Boot Keys". My BIOS looks the same as in the HP instructions above. My BIOS is current, VERSION: F.25 REV: A PASS: 1. Is there another way to enable Secure Boot?
Windows 11 also requires TPM 2.0 with upgrade options per HP here https://support.hp.com/bg-en/document/c05381064
This HP list of PC's capable of TPM Firmware upgrade is quite limited. Are there more? If not, it seems Windows 11 may not be an option.
This link explains how to find your current TPM Version https://www.danielengberg.com/hp-tpm-firmware-version-upgrade-from-1-2-to-2-0-tpm-configuration-util... When I run TPM.MSC from PowerShell Admin, it says "Compatible Trusted Platform Module (TPM) cannot be found on this computer. Verify that this computer has a 1.2 TPM or later and it is turned on in the BIOS." Is there another way to find my TPM Version or if it even exists?

Hi, @OUgrad
Your notebook would not be able to run W11 for at least two reasons...
1. There is no TPM of any version in the dv6 model series.
2. You need an Intel 8th gen core processor or newer to run W11.
Regarding secure boot...you cannot enable secure boot unless you installed W10 in EFI mode.
You can't enable secure boot if W10 is installed in legacy mode.
Take a look at your PC's system information program in the Windows program menu>Administrative tools.
About halfway down the list, you will see a BIOS Mode line.
If the BIOS mode indicates Legacy, you cannot enable secure boot unless you go back and reinstall W10 in EFI mode.
If the BIOS mode, indicates UEFI, secure boot should be enabled with legacy mode disabled.

I just found this HP Discussion Thread that explains TPN is Hardware listed in Device Manager. So, I don't have TPN since not listed there. OUgrad

Thanks Paul. When I recently tried to update my Windows 10 Insider Test PC, not this one, it said my Test PC would not work with Windows 11 for only two reasons - no Secure Boot and no TPM 2.0. I guess the MS Windows 11 compatibility diagnostic is not complete - thought I only had two issues (not the CPU) since my Test PC was originally an older HP with Vista that ran Windows 10 Evaluation Copies seamlessly from October 2014 to present. This newer PC runs the free Windows 10 upgrade from Windows 7 OEM. OUgrad
