HP 17-by2000 Laptop PC series (7EF33AV)
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

I have an HP 17-by2000 Laptop PC series (7EF33AV), that will not boot after an BIOS Update.

I consistently get the Error Message "there is not any available recovery binary in system".

I already reset the CMOS (by using the windows-key +v method).

As well I created a USB-Stick with the  HP Notebook System BIOS Update (Intel Processors) F.64 Rev.A Sep 24, 2021, plugged it in and tried to reinstall it following the approach of pressing windows-key + B during startup. After many tries I managed that some kind of update seems to happen once, but afterwards I first got the CMOS Reset Error (502), did this, but then returned back to "there is not any ..... ". Tried to repeat the process, but could never get it to do the Update again.

I am out of ideas to bring my Laptop back to life.

Do you have any ideas of what I can do?

Hello @UB6424,

thank you for your reply.

I reset the CMOS (1) and tried HP Bios recovery. It did show the white and blue information bar with "Flashing Boot Block". When it starts again I have the same problem. It is stuck at "there is not any ...." .  I noticed that during the process I would never hear any sound/beep from the laptop as it should be.

So result is to be stuck with the same problem.

Hello @Peter335

Recommendation and solution:

In your case: Service is required !
- The computer should be disassembled and checked.
- [ recommended ] Thermal paste for CPU GPU and bridges should be renewed
- [ recommended ] The function of the fan(s) must be checked

- BIOS and/or startup chip repare/reflash/replace

- (Short) circuit test

- power charger check

- General cleaning ...

If your HP warranty is valid, HP Support Technician should do it.

No HP warranty: You should have it serviced by a professional notebook (chip level) repair store.
