Hi:

Can you explain what you mean by you need to install the version of W10 that you have, and not what came with the notebook (W10s)?

You should be able to switch out of S-Mode by following the instructions at the link below, and you will have the full version of W10 Home.

Hello,

I found that windows 10 s that came installed had issues it kept restarting itself and kept going into recovery on setup by itself.

When I try to install the windows 10 version that I have the following error appears on the screen though setup, Windows could not update the computer's boot configuration Installation cannot proceed.

Any help would be great

Thanks

You're very welcome.

Did you try to switch out of S mode?

I would try that first.

As far as clean installing Windows 10, go into the BIOS, and disable secure boot.

See this link for the settings to change.

Then install W10 from the EFI boot source, which I assume you are using a USB flash drive, so boot from the EFI USB flash drive.

To do that, have the flash drive in the notebook.

Turn on or restart the PC, press the ESC key to get the menu of options.

Select the F9 boot options menu and from that, select the EFI USB flash drive and press the Enter key.

The PC should boot from the flash drive and begin to load the installation files.

Check if your USB disk looks like this:

During setup (country&language) press

Shift + F10

in command prompt type:

diskpart

sel disk X

convert gpt

exit

exit

replace the above X with your disk number 0 or 1

do not select your USB !

continue the setup
