Microsoft Windows 11

Hello community, I'm stucked at a black screen after HP logo end. I just hear the sound of login screen of Windows 11.

What I tried so far:
1) Run complete diagnostic for hardware failure: everyting is good

2) Update BIOS: done

3) Reinstall Windows: done, a lot of issues as described below

When I try to install Windows it doesn't show any hard drive, so I have to include Intel Rapid Storage Technology Driver as written in this other thread.
Once the Windows installation start the touchpad doesn't work, I can only move forward with the keyboard.
After the installation succeded and Windows start the first time both keyboard and trackpad stop to work so I must connect an external keyboard.
With this workaround I can finally download and install latest updates and drive but then, when Windows restarts, I came back to the black screen with only the sound of Windows login screen and nothing works.
I'm not able niether to recover the system not to boot Windows in safe mode.

Do you have any idea on how to solve this?

@SimoneMex,

I suggest that you use HP Cloud Recovery Tool to create a bootable recovery media usb drive that installs Win11, all necessary drivers and HP software.

See this link for how to use the recovery tool.

HP Consumer PCs - Using the HP Cloud Recovery Tool in Windows 11 and 10 | HP® Support

You need a 32 GB usb drive to hold the recovery media, and you need to download the cloud recovery tool from the Microsoft Store.

You can use another PC to run the recovery tool to create a recovery usb drive. You'll be prompted to provide the full product number, which you can find on the back cover of the laptop.

Hi @Tk_srq,

thanks for the response!

I tried the HP recovery tool but after the step below the laptop reboots and I get a black screen.
I left the system working for more than 30min and nothing changed.

Do you have any other suggestions?

Thanks,

Simone

Looks like the recovery media got problems in the driver installation phase, and unfortunately, I don't know what happend.

You can boot from the recovery media and start the installation all over again.

If you have another 32 GB usb drive, use it to create another recovery media to see if it works.
