Yes, that is exactly what happened to me.

If you know what W10 version you were on when everything was working, go back to the previous version and then run the Microsoft Hide Windows Update utility that I zipped up and attached below, which will prevent the update from reinstalling.

Peridically you will have to run the utility because the pesky update keeps trying to install every now and then.

When you are back where everything was working, unzip and run the attached utility.

it should find the Windows version that is wrecking the graphics.

Check the box to hide the update.

The utility will run again and report that the problem is 'fixed.

Close out of the utility, restart the PC and hopefully, the update won't try to install for a few weeks.

I got tired of doing that and quit using the notebook.

Then one day, I decided I would give W11 a try just for the fun of it and like I wrote earlier, the graphics works fine on W11 and no updates have installed yet to wreck the graphics.

This doesn't happen on the 6910p's with the Intel graphics.  No problem with the graphics on any build of W10.

I booted in safe mode, and removed the update, everything is fine now.

Thanks for the utility!

You're very welcome.

Yes, it is a real pain the Microsoft updates messed up the graphics.

My 6910p was running just fine since W10 came out in 2015 and several years later, when one of the newer builds came out, that's when the graphics quit working right.
