Compaq Presario CQ57-339WM
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)
My sister in law just gave her her wife's laptop, (wife passed away.) Says I need Administrator or Startup Password. Can't get to Bios even I have tried all troubleshooting. F keys do nothing. I have a Windows 7 disk but can't get to Bios to get it to boot. Please help! Compaq Presario CQ57-339WM. Tried everything. System Disabled Code 71697032

Hi,

 

You're welcome :generic:

 

There is a general policy on the Forum not to provide methods to bypass Windows log-on passwords, however a local computer shop would be able to do this for you.

 

Another option would be to reset the notebook to its 'Factory Condition' and then set it up from the beginning – if you don’t have a set of Recovery Media, the notebook will have shipped with a Recovery Partition which can be accessed at boot - ie shutdown the notebook, then start tapping away at f11 as soon as you power on.

I just figured it out FINALLY right before you replied lol! Thank you so much!!! I've been trying to figure it out for a month, even took it apart LOL! I'm great with Acer and Dell's but have never even touched a Compaq before so guess it's learn as I go . Thank you again! 🙂
