I deleted all partitions when doing a fresh windows install (windows media creation USB)
I read that one of those partitions was for HP BIOS update utility... now i cant update my bios.
When I run the BIOS update from windows, it says not enough space.
Is there ANY way to update? I've spent hours trying.
Thank you!!

Just do the bios update using the USB boot option. It does not make a backup.
You probably should have just restored the drive.
HP is removing cloud recovery for system over 5 years old.
The actual wording is a limited time after the warranty expires
You may want to get a copy of the cloud recovery before it is too late.
Cloud recovery provides all the custom HP drivers.
Go to the below site and enter your product ID including the 3 characters after the # character
If you have cloud recovery you can restore your system using a 32gb flash.
It may take an hour or more to create the recovery USB.

Alternately, download from the MS windows store

How do I update bios from USB boot?
I looked in the bios there is no update function.
Is there a special way of creating a USB drive with the driver files?
Unsure how to proceed. Thank you kindly for your reply. Currently in the middle of cloud recovery

Thank you for that picture! I didn't even consider that an option ayy. I will try it once I can get to my desktop...
The cloud recovery setup blue-screened in the middle of "installing software"... turned power off, turned back on.. and it continued..
Not sure if anything got messed up.
Will try bios update soon. THANK YOU for the replies
*UPDATE*
I was able to get the bios updated after the cloud recovery tool. The USB bios drive didn't work. It wasn't Bootable. I updated from inside windows.
New problem. Laptop is overheating. 99c when I checked with hwmonitor.
I'm guessing this is why the computer blue screened in the middle of cloud recovery imaging :'(
