HP 255 G7 Notebook PC

My Cap Locks button for the past two or so months has been acting strangely. It started when out of nowhere my Cap Locks key would just turn on or off by itself like if someone was just tapping the key rapidly or else it would stay in the on position and would prevent me from moving my mouse around unless I were to press the Windows key or use a USB mouse.

I did manage to get around this but changing the settings to turn off the Cap Locks with the Shift Key and then eventually a couple of days later it would be back to normal but then maybe a few days later it would start off again and this happened a few times before the current issue I'm having happened.

Currently I cannot turn on or off my Cap Locks key at all but if I were booting up my laptop or if my laptop went into hibernation then the Cap Locks would come on automatically and it is only on these occasions (except if I were to turn on the Cap Locks key via the virtual keyboard where it acts as normal like it should be doing) that it turns on. I would then have to press the Shift key to turn it off after which it is then unusable and it makes typing incredibly difficult when I am currently lacking a properly functioning Cap Locks key.

Could something give me advice as to how to resolve this issue?
