Welcome to HP forums, I see that you want to you want to you want to change the operating system on your notebook.

You can upgrade the OS on your notebook.

Instead of Windows 8, you can upgrade to Windows 10.

If you upgrade to Windows 8, you might face issues with drivers.

In Windows 10, Microsoft will take care of the drivers.

Let me know if that helps.

To thank me for my efforts to help you, please mark my post as an accepted solution so that it benefits several others.

Thanks for the proposed solution only I wouldn't be able to use. In fact while waiting for a proposal from the forum I tried changing the system using USB flash disk.

And now the new problem I got is  a message saying "Windows can't be installed on this disc. The selected disc has a partition table MBR. On EFI systems, windows can only be installed on GPT discs."

Please I'm waiting. I already formated the partition of the hard drive containing the OS

I understand the issue better now.

The hard disk is installed in the wrong format.

Please how do I proceed to format?

The first formating I did occurred while I was trying to change the system.
