My laptop was out of battery and it just went off. I tried to charge but it didn't work. I use the HP charger to charge my phone and the charger is working, so I guess something is wrong with the computer. I tried other chargers for the laptop but the laptop is not charging.

I just bought a standing case recently for my laptop and the screen sometimes go off when I put it on the case, I have to avoid to touch the fan area when putting the laptop on the standing case. I don't know if it is relevant to the issue.

In addition, I tried to hold the power button and try both F2 and F10. The power button light flashes but nothing appears on the screen, then after like 2 3 seconds the light went off as if it's dead!

@Qnnguyen17, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

If you have alternate compatible chargers, you may use them to check if it helps.

If the computer has enough charge left, run a test on the battery:

  1. Hold the power button for at least five seconds to turn off the computer.
  2. Turn on the computer and immediately press Esc repeatedly, about once every second. When the menu appears, press the F2 key.
  3. Perform Component Test > Power. Share the result on your next post.

If there is no charge left and the computer is not powering ON, please reach out to the HP Technical Support team in your region regarding the service options.

You may create a case on the website to obtain a case number if required. Kindly watch this video to know how.
