HP Pavilion x360 - 13-u164tu
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi Folks, I have (2x) HP Pavilion x360 - 13-u164tu laptopsfor my kids at high school and want to understand if the laptops have an automated feature to stop the charging cycle once the laptop is fully charged so as to prevent damage to the battery. For example, if they place the laptop on charge overnight (roughly 8hrs), and they are fully charhged within 4hrs, will the system stop charging once full? Is there inbuilt protection for the battery?

Regards,

Timbo

Yes, it stops once it reaches full charge. I leave my laptop plugged in about 95% of the time, only unplugging if I move into another room. Actually the battery should last longer not being depleted/recharged continously. A battery is only estimated for approximately 300-500 full deplete/recharges.
