I have recently purchased a Dragonfly 13.5-inch laptop, and I'm getting conflicting advice about whether to keep it plugged in all the time (whenever possible) or shut it down several times a week. What is the optimal choice to preserve battery life and overall performance?
Thank you.

Hi:
It is OK to leave your notebook plugged in most of the time.
I don't believe that it is OK to leave the notebook plugged in and the battery in a 100% charge state 24/7/365 because that may lead to battery swelling.
See the link from HP for how to get the most life out of your notebook's battery.

That may account for the fact that, when I first got the laptop I left it plugged in at 100 percent and after use, it charged only to 95%, then 85%, etc,, after use, until I let it go down to zero and recharged it.
